Julia Amorim was named the CAA Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the conference office this afternoon.
Amorim made her presence known this week as she helped the Pride to a perfect 3-0 week and earned all-tournament honors at the Black Knights Invitational.
Amorim tallied 12 kills and 13 blocks in the three matches to give Hofstra a strong defensive presence. She had nine kills against Rider for her best match of the week and tallied five blocks versus Army West Point and four against Rider.
Amorim averaged 1.20 kills and 1.30 blocks per set, while hitting .333.
