Izadora Stedile had 12 kills and eight digs, while
Nina Jioshvili-Ravva tallied 29 assists and seven digs in her debut as the Hofstra volleyball team made quick work of Binghamton on Sunday afternoon in the season opener for the squad from the Events Center.
Hofstra won its sixth consecutive season opener in moving to 1-0 on the season. Binghamton slipped to 0-4 in 2025. The Pride won by scores of 25-15, 25-13, and 25-16.
Clara Bal chipped in with nine kills and five digs for the Pride, while
Constanza Perez Sain added seven kills.
Hofstra hit nearly .400 in the match, ending with a .379 attack percentage, after tallying a .441 hitting percentage in the first set and a .533 hitting percentage in the second stanza.
Emilly Nunes had a .462 hitting percentage in the match with six kills and no errors and led the way with three blocks.
Nil Kayaalp had 10 digs to lead the team in that category.
Merima Smajlovic had 12 kills to lead Binghamton in the contest.
Hofstra will head to the Black Knight Invitational next weekend where it will take on Army West Point on Friday before facing Rider and Binghamton on Saturday.

- Hofstra improved to 3-3 all-time against Binghamton. It was the Pride's first win over the Bearcats since 2017.
- The win improved Hofstra's all-time Division I record against teams from the state of New York to 127-41.
- Stedile reached double figures in kills for the first time in 2025 after tallying 10 or more 22 times a season ago.
