Hofstra Hits The Road For First Time In 2025, Takes On Binghamton Sunday

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University men's soccer team will face their first road test of the season Sunday when the Pride travel to Vestal, New York for a 3 p.m. meeting with the Bearcats of Binghamton University. The game, from the Bearcats Sports Complex, will be streamed live on ESPN+ with live statistics also offered. 

Hofstra (1-1) is coming off a 2-0 win over St. John's last Sunday night. Laurie Goddard scored on a penalty kick and Daniel Burko added his second goal of the season, while keeper Seah Bohan stopped both shots he faced for his first shutout. Aaron Basenach had an assist in the game as well. 

The Bearcats (1-2) picked up their first win of the season Thursday night with a 2-1 home victory over Mount St. Mary's. Kevaughn Harris and Alex Balkey had the Binghamton goals, and Daniel Shannon made six saves in his first start of the season. 

Hofstra is 6-1-1 all-time against the Bearcats and has won three consecutive games. The Pride defeated Binghamton, 3-2, last September 2 at Captains Field. Goddard, Jacob Woznicki, and Eoin Farrell scored the Hofstra goals. 

Following Sunday's game, Hofstra will be off until Saturday, September 6 when it takes on Northeastern in Brookline, Massachusetts in the CAA opener.
