Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra women's lacrosse team continued to pull in more academic honors as the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association announced their awards today.
As a team, the squad earned the IWLCA Academic Honor Squad designation. In addition, seven individuals were named to the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll.
The Pride had a 3.68 grade point average during the 2024-25 academic year as a team to earn Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Academic Honor Squad accolades. To qualify for this prestigious Academic Honor Squad, the team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
The most recent academic awards for the women's lacrosse program come on the heels of the team earning the Coastal Athletic Association's Academic Excellence Award for 2024-25 as the team with the highest collective GPA in their respective sport.
In addition, four members of the team -
Christine Dannenfelser,
Brynn Hepting,
Nikki Mennella, and
Madeleine Rudolph - earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District accolades.
