| By:
Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University baseball team will host its final CAA series of the season this weekend when it welcomes Towson to University Field for three games beginning with a doubleheader Saturday at 12 p.m. and a single game Sunday at 12 p.m. The games will be streamed live on FloCollege with live statistics also provided.

Sunday's game will be Hofstra's Senior Day recognizing Dom Camera, Sean Hamilton, Brian Hart, Danny Kelleher, Sean Lane, Luke Masiuk, and Tristan Nemjo for their commitment to the Pride. The Senior Day ceremony will begin at 11:40 a.m.

Hofstra (14-34, 4-17 CAA) will be looking to snap a six-game losing streak against the Tigers. The Pride dropped all three games of their last series against Elon last weekend. Hofstra held late leads in each of the final two games before the Phoenix rallied. Dylan Palmer continues to pace the Hofstra offense with a .379 average, 74 hits, and 23 stolen bases. Luke Masiuk has nine home runs, 42 runs, 42 RBIs, and 18 stolen bases. Jackson Bauer, Sunday's starter, has three wins and 48 strikeouts to lead the pitching staff.

Towson (19-30, 9-12 CAA) has won six of its last seven games but is coming off a loss at Virginia this past Wednesday. Brian Heckelman leads the Tigers with a .358 average and 35 RBIs. He also has seven home runs. Max D'Alessandro is Towson's top power threat with nine home runs to go along with 32 RBIs. Nate Nabholz is 4-0 out of the bullpen, while Andrew Luczak is 4-4.

Pitching probables for the series are:

Game 1: Sean Hamilton (0-4, 8.58 ERA) vs. Andrew Luczak (4-4, 6.66 ERA)
Game 2: Tristan Nemjo (1-6, 7.04 ERA) vs. Max Simpson (2-8, 6.17 ERA)
Game 3: Jackson Bauer (3-6, 8.90 ERA) vs. Dutch DeProspero (2-5, 7.21)

Hofstra is 46-66 all-time versus Towson. The Pride took two out of three against the Tigers in Maryland last season.

Following the game, Hofstra will have one more home game - Tuesday versus St. John's (3 p.m.) - before closing the season at Charleston in a CAA series beginning Thursday.
