Jacob Vazquez leads the Pride on Sunday following the conclusion of the first round of the Abarta Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Lafayette College from Northampton Country Club. Vazquez sits tied for 11th place following a first round 72 (E), while Hofstra are in 12th out of 16 teams total with a first round score of 308 (+20).
Sacred Heart leads the 16-team field at 293 (+5) heading into the second day of competition, while Jacob Moody (Le Moyne) and Alex Elia (Holy Cross) are tied for first place at 69 (-3).
Following Vazquez is
Vincent Apostolico who is tied for 28th place after a first round 75 (+3). Apostolico is competing as an individual.
Gavin Clarke is tied for 37th at 76 (+4),
Joseph Giamanco is tied for 53rd following a first round 78 (+6),
Charlie Ferrise is tied for 83rd out of the 101 player field at 82 (+10), and
Eugene Kang heads into the second round at 87 (+15).
