St. Helena Island, SC - The Hofstra men's golf team placed ninth at the 2026 Coastal Athletic Association Championship held at Dataw Island Golf Club in St. Helena Island, South Carolina. The Pride shot a three-round score of 911 to finish ninth out of the ten-team field.
Eugene Kang was Hofstra's top finisher, tying for 31st place at 211 (+5). Kang shot a 77 (+5) on Tuesday following prior rounds of 73 and 71.
Joseph Wong finished 35th out of the 53-competitor field at 224 (+8) following rounds of 71-76-77.
Hank Kancher placed 36th at 225 (+9) with rounds of 76-78-71. Kancher's final round 71 was the top Hofstra score on the day.
Gavin Clarke was 46th at 241 (+25) following rounds of 73-86-82.
Taishi Shigaki subbed into the Hofstra lineup on Tuesday in place of
Charlie Ferrise and shot a 92 (+20). Ferrise recorded first and second round scores of 87 and 89.
UNCW won the team title at 826 (-38), seventeen strokes better than second place Elon. James Rico of UNCW shot a 202 (-14) to win the individual title.
