Joseph Wong shot one under par to lead the Pride through the first round of the 2026 CAA Men's Golf Championship from Dataw Island Golf Club in St. Helena Island, South Carolina. Wong sits tied for 20th place at 71 (-1) following the first 18 holes of play.
As a team, Hofstra is in ninth place out of ten teams at 293 (+5), one stroke behind Drexel.
Eugene Kang and
Gavin Clarke shot one over par to sit tied for 29th place at 73 (+1).
Hank Kancher is tied for 38th following a first round 76 (+4), while
Charlie Ferrise is in 50th at 87 (+15).
UNCW leads the ten team field at 276 (-12), while Campbell, Towson, Elon, and Charleston make up the top-five teams heading into the second round. The Seahawks' James Rico is the individual leader after shooting a first round 66 (-6).
Second round play gets underway Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. at Dataw Island Golf Club, with Ferrise opening round two competition.
