St. Helena Island, SC - The Hofstra men's golf team shot a second round 311 (+23) on Monday from Dataw Island Golf Club in St. Helena Island, South Carolina, on the second day of CAA Championship play. The Pride are in ninth place with a combined score of 604 (+28).
Eugene Kang moved into the lead for Hofstra following a second round 71 (-1). Kang sits tied for 21st place out of the 52-compeitior field at 144 (E). The first round leader for Hofstra,
Joseph Wong is tied for 28th at 147 (+3), following a second round 76 (+4).
Hank Kancher is tied for 40th place at 154 (+10), while
Gavin Clarke is 46th at 159 (+15).
Charlie Ferrise is in 48th at 176 (+32) heading into the final round of play.
UNCW maintains the team title and James Rico has held on to the individual title with a combined score of 136 (-8) through two rounds of play.
The third and final round of the CAA Men's Golf Championship gets underway on Tuesday morning at 8 a.m.
