Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's lacrosse team will gear up for the CAA Championship with one more regular season game as the Pride will host Towson on Saturday.
Opening face-off from James M. Shuart Stadium is scheduled for 4 p.m.
The game is part of a Hofstra lacrosse doubleheader with the women's team hosting Stony Brook at 7 p.m. For ticket information visit HofstraTickets.com, call (516) HOF-TIXX, or stop by the Hofstra Athletics Ticket Office in the lobby of the David S. Hofstra is 8-5 overall and 4-2 in league play. The Pride is coming off a 27-4 road win at Hampton this past Saturday.
Anthony Mollica had nine points on five goals and four assists in the game, while
Drew Bogardus added eight points on three goals and five assists.
Shea Kennedy tallied 10 saves in the victory.
Towson brings an 8-5 mark and a 6-0 CAA record into Saturday's game. The Tigers defeated Fairfield, 14-9, in their last game. Mikey Weisshaar had six points on four goals and two assists for Towson, which also got 11 saves from Luke Downs.
One of the Pride's oldest rivals, Hofstra holds a 29-26 lead in the all-time series with Towson. The Tigers have won the last two encounters but prior to that the teams alternated victories in the six previous meetings. The series began during the 1961 season.
