Hofstra Plays At CAA-Leading Northeastern This Weekend With Revised Schedule

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University baseball team will continue a five-game road swing with three games at CAA-leading Northeastern in Brookline, Massachusetts. Due to weather concerns, the teams will play a doubleheader Friday beginning at 11:30 a.m. and conclude the series Sunday with a 1 p.m. start time. All three games will be streamed live on FloCollege with game two of the doubleheader also simulcast on NESN. Links for video and live statistics can be found at GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra (12-21, 3-6 CAA) is coming off a 12-4 loss at Connecticut Wednesday. Sean Lane had a two-run home run, while Dylan Palmer and Dom Camera had two hits each. Palmer, who has a 16-game hitting streak and a 30-game on-base streak, continues to lead the Hofstra offense and enters the weekend with a .399 average. He leads the CAA in hits with 55 and is third in average. 

The Huskies (22-9, 7-2 CAA) are coming off a 12-5 win at Central Connecticut State Wednesday. Northeastern holds a one-game lead over William & Mary in the CAA standings and leads the conference in pitching with a 3.78 team ERA. The Huskies are tough at home with an 8-1 record at Friedman Diamond. 

Sean Hamilton, Jackson Bauer, and Tristan Nemjo are slated to start in the mound for the Pride. Northeastern will counter with Will Jones, Aiven Cabral, and Jordan Gottesman. Hofstra is 29-56 all-time against Northeastern. The teams have split the last 10 meetings. 

Following Sunday's game, Hofstra will play at St. John's on Tuesday, April 15 before returning home for a weekend series against Stony Brook beginning Friday, April 18.
