3/8/2025 7:43:00 PM

Bethlehem, PA - Graduate students Kyle Mosher and Ross McFarland each claimed their first EIWA championships to highlight a strong showing by Hofstra at the conference championships at Lehigh. Hofstra finished seventh as a team with 79.5 points. The Pride boasted two champions, a fourth-place finisher, a sixth-place finisher, and two seventh-place finishers. It was Hofstra's best finish since 2021.

He third-seeded Mosher had an unconventional path to his championship as he won by medical forfeit in Saturday's semifinals and then scored another medical forfeit victory in the finals as top-seeded Noah Mulvaney of Bucknell was unable to compete.

McFarland, seeded fourth, scored a 11-4 victory over third-seeded Caden Rogers of Lehigh in the finals. McFarland was relentless in his championship pursuit and racked up nearly three minutes of riding time in the match.

Justin Hoyle concluded his Hofstra career with a sixth-place finish at 141 pounds, while Noah Tapia placed fourth at 149 pounds. The Pride sophomore won his consolation semifinals match over Binghamton's Ivan Garcia, 4-1, in sudden victory and then dropped the third place match, 8-5, in extra time to Navy's Kaemen Smith.

Jurius Clark (157) avenged an opening match loss to Sacred Heart's Felix Lettini with a 7-6 victory in the seventh-place match, while Nikolas Miller took seventh with a dominant 17-2 tech fall over Franklin & Marshall's RJ Moore.

With their wins, Mosher and McFarland will represent Hofstra at the NCAA Wrestling Championships in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The NCAA's get underway March 20.
