Shea Kennedy was named the CAA Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the conference office this afternoon.
The outstanding season for Kennedy continued as he was stellar in the Pride's 15-9 road win at Monmouth on Saturday.
Kennedy tallied a career-high 15 saves in the game and added a trio of ground balls. His ground ball total was one off his career-high. He was especially strong in the second half as he tallied nine saves after halftime. Kennedy is now 5-2 this season.
Saturday marked the third time this season that Kennedy has notched 10 or more saves in a game.
Hofstra, which is 6-2 overall, is 2-0 in CAA play for the first time since the 2017 season.
