Mosher, McFarland Begin NCAA Championships Quest Thursday

Hempstead, NY - Kyle Mosher and Ross McFarland begin their NCAA Championships quest Thursday as the tournament begins at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Session One is scheduled for 12 p.m. with Session 2 set to begin at 7 p.m. The Championships continue Friday at 12 p.m. and 8 p.m. and wrap up Saturday at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Mosher (17-8), the EIWA champion at 165 pounds and the No. 16 seed, is making his first appearance at the national tournament and is scheduled to take on fellow EIWA competitor Noah Mulvaney of Bucknell in the opening round. The No. 17 seed, Mulvaney medically forfeited the conference final against Mosher. 

McFarland (16-7), the EIWA champion at 184 pounds and also a first-time NCAA Championships qualifier, will face sixth-seeded Chris Foca of Cornell in the first round. Foca won the Ivy league championship this season and was an All-American at 174 pounds last season after placing third.
