Hofstra Welcomes Fordham To University Field Wednesday

Hempstead, NY - Following four games on the road, the Hofstra University baseball team makes a pit stop back home to take on Fordham Wednesday at University Field. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.

Hofstra is 7-12 on the season and is coming off a 1-2 weekend at Kent State. Freshman Tyler Castrataro was one of several Pride players that enjoyed strong weeks at the plate and was named the Coastal Athletic Association Rookie of the Week. 

Fordham is 6-13 on the season with a game today against Maine. The Rams took two out of three games from George Washington this past weekend in the opening Atlantic 10 series of the season. Andrew Kannelis leads the Rams with a .369 average and has two home runs and 14 RBIs.

Following Wednesday's game, Hofstra heads to Monmouth to open CAA play with a three-game series beginning Friday.
