Hempstead, NY - The start of conference play opens in a big way for the Pride as the Hofstra men's lacrosse team will host its Long Island rival Stony Brook on Saturday night to begin CAA action.
Opening face-off from James M. Shuart Stadium is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The first 100 youth in attendance will receive free Lizard Skins and there will be a stick head raffle for one lucky youth at the game.

Hofstra is 4-2 on the season and has won two of its last three games. Most recently, the Pride dropped an 18-7 road decision to #6 North Carolina on Saturday.
Trey Parkes had three points on two goals and one assist in that contest, while
Rory Jones and
Drew Bogardus each added two goals for the Pride.
Stony Brook is 4-3 this season and lost 12-10 to Binghamton on Saturday. Collin Williamson had four points on two goals and two assists for the Seawolves, while Justin Bonacci and Ryan Barker each tallied two goals and an assist.
Hofstra holds an 8-6 advantage over Stony Brook in the all-time series. The Pride won last season's meeting, 11-9, in Stony Brook and have won two of the last three and four of the last six encounters.
