NCAA Wrestling Seeds Announced; Mosher 16th, McFarland 27th

3/12/2025 9:35:00 PM

Hempstead, NY - The NCAA announced the seeding for the 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships with Hofstra's Kyle Mosher earning the No. 16 seed at 165 pounds and Ross McFarland getting the No. 27 seed at 184 pounds. The Championships begin next Thursday, March 20 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Mosher, the EIWA champion, is making his first appearance at the national tournament and will take on fellow EIWA competitor Noah Mulvaney of Bucknell in the opening round. The No. 17 seed, Mulvaney medically forfeited the conference final against Mosher last weekend.

McFarland, also the EIWA champion and also a first-time NCAA Championships qualifier, will face sixth-seeded Chris Foca of Cornell in the first round. Foca won the Ivy league championship this season and was an All-American at 174 pounds last season after placing third.

Action from the Wells Fargo Center begins at 12 p.m. Thursday.
