Hofstra Celebrates 2025 Mid-Year Commencement

Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University and the Hofstra University Department of Athletics congratulates the 14 current Hofstra Pride student-athletes, as well two athletic alumni, who earned their degrees at mid-year commencement on December 19, 2025. We salute their tremendous academic and athletic accomplishments, and wish them the best of luck in their future plans.

Earning their undergraduate degrees were: Anthony Mollica and Trey Parkes (men's lacrosse), Owen Barnett, Laurie Goddard, and Pablo Hempelmann-Perez (men's soccer), Sarah Purschke and Samantha Szabo (women's cross country/track), Luchianna Cardello and Nikki Mennella (women's lacrosse), Izadora Stedile (volleyball), and Marisa Dambach and Polly Watson (women's soccer).

The following student-athletes earned graduate degrees: Daniel Burko (men's soccer), Adrianna Losiak (field hockey), and Carly Travers (women's soccer). Former field hockey student-athletes Simryn Desai and Liv Truong also earned graduate degrees at commencement. 

In addition, Hofstra's Director of Corporate Sales and Strategic Partnerships Grace Cergol, Director of Creative and Digital Marketing Strategy Hannah Geller, and Athletic Facilities Coordinator Andrew Lazzara earned graduate degrees as well.
