Grace Cergol was named the director of corporate sales and strategic partnerships at Hofstra University in July 2022. In her role, she has expanded Hofstra's partnerships leading to a growth in revenue for the Department of Athletics.
Cergol brought a wealth of professional experience into her role at Hofstra. She was the event operations coordinator with RTM Business Group beginning in March 2021. She helped develop and execute event strategies for the business-to-business marketing firm, in addition to managing event logistics, signage/graphics, AV and source vendors, as well as building partnerships with exhibit hall companies and supporting corporate sponsors.
She also has experience in marketing, social media, advertising, and public relations from numerous internship opportunities with organizations such as The Adecco Group (2019), Identity Media/Triptent (2018), and the Huntington Arts Council (2018).
A graduate of SUNY Geneseo in May 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in communication, with a minor in legal studies, Cergol was a member of the women’s volleyball program at SUNY Geneseo from 2016 to 2019. She was named the Athlete of the Decade by the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) in 2020, was a three-time SUNYAC Athlete of the Year (2017, 2018, 2019), and was named All-America Honorable Mention by the American Volleyball Coaches Association in 2019.
