Hannah Geller joined the Hofstra athletics staff as director of creative and digital marketing strategy in August 2022. Geller had previously served in a part-time role in ticket sales and fan engagement since December 2021.
In Geller's time at Hofstra, she has achieved year-over-year growth in athletic event attendance at Hofstra, setting new average attendance benchmarks for the men's and women's basketball and men's and women's lacrosse programs, as well as strengthening community engagement and spearheading efforts in youth education initiatives. These community engagement efforts have resulted in the highest-participation amng youth groups during the 2024-25 season of Hofstra basketball, and her initiations helped reach over 3,500 schools in the area for the men's basketball program's Youth Education Day this past season. In addition, Geller analyzed participation trends to inform further youth outreach and engagement strategies for Hofstra's basketball, lacrosse, and soccer programs, and she developed and implemented strategic programs to boost visability and participation for all Hofstra athletics community efforts.
A 2021 graduate of Stony Brook University, Geller was a member of the Seawolves women’s soccer team. She was a four-year member of the Stony Brook Dean’s List and the America East Fall Honor Roll. During her tenure, she spent two years as an athletic marketing intern for the Seawolves and helped implement marketing and promotional plans, and managed several athletic department events.Â
Geller served as co-president of Stony Brook’s Positive Assurance With Support group, a student-athlete-run mental health awareness group, and was also a member of the Seawolves Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the Black Student-Athlete Huddle.Â
A native of Monroe, New York, Geller has a degree in business and minored in health and wellness.Â
