Andrew Lazzara joined the Hofstra athletics facilities staff as an athletic facilities coordinator beginning in January 2023.
Lazzara was previously an athletic media and event operations intern at SUNY Cortland while completing his bachelor’s degree in sport management. Lazzara was the primary media coverage coordinator for the SUNY Cortland men’s basketball, gymnastics, and baseball programs, and he assisted in media coverage of additional sports including men’s and women’s lacrosse, ice hockey, and softball.
During this time, Lazzara was also a broadcast announcer for SUNY Cortland’s home men’s and women’s basketball and softball athletic events, and he worked as an event operations coordinator for the Cornell athletics department in 2022. In 2021, he worked directly with the SUNY Cortland women’s volleyball program to keep track of substitutes and the libero for each team.
Lazzara graduated from SUNY Cortland in May 2022.
