                     Hempstead, NY – In the final regular season Coastal Athletic Association contest of the season, the Hofstra field hockey team looks to punch its ticket for the 2025 CAA Championship as the Pride hosts Towson on Friday, October 31, at 3 p.m. from Cindy Lewis Stadium.

Hofstra sits at 8-8 overall and 1-3 in the CAA heading into Friday's fixture after shutting out William & Mary in a 2-0 win on Friday. 
Jaime Lewis and 
Kelly Levengood scored both of Hofstra's goals against the Tribe, and 
Luci Hollister picked up her third CAA Rookie of the Week selection with a six-save shutout win. With a win over the Tigers on Friday, Hofstra will qualify for its first CAA Championship since the 2015 season.
 
Towson is currently 6-11 overall and 2-2 in league play after a 4-1 defeat to Monmouth on Friday. Tied for fourth with Hofstra in the Preseason CAA Coaches Poll, the Tigers are led in scoring by Ella Kaufman, Rosemarie Staal, and Dakotah Trader with four goals and two assists each.
 
Hofstra leads the all-time series over Towson with a record of 33-12. The Pride bested the Tigers 3-2 last season and have won 13 of the last 14 meetings.
