Lexington, KY - Hofstra outdoor track distance runner Abraham Longosiwa represented the Pride at the 2024 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field East First Round on Wednesday from the campus of the University of Kentucky.

Longosiwa competed in the men's 10,000m race and finished in 13th place, just one spot away from qualifying to compete in Eugene, Oregon for the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships from June 5-8, 2024. The sophomore runner from Kenya finished with a time of 29:25.86, the fastest time among Coastal Athletic Association runners in Kentucky. 

Abraham Longosiwa concluded his sophomore season after finishing in first place in the men's 10,000m race at the CAA Championships and setting a new meet record with his time of 29:39.80. Longosiwa also set his personal best time in the 10,000m of 28:47.36 at the 2024 Penn Relays.
