The Hofstra men's outdoor track and field team competed at the Penn Relays on Thursday and Friday, and the Vassar Twilight Invitational on Friday.
Abraham Longosiwa led the Pride at the Penn Relays to finish second in the men's 10,000m race, while
Brian Beck led Hofstra Friday by finishing first in the 3,000m steeplechase at Vassar.
At Penn Relays, Longosiwa finished the 10,000m race with a time of 28:47.36 to take second place.
Nile Love finished the long jump competition with a mark of 7.02m to take sixth place.
At the Vassar Twilight Invitational, Beck finished the 3,000m steeplechase race in 9:45.09 to take first place.
Alec Padron finished fourth in the 100m race with a time of 11.35, and fifth in the 200m race at 23.26.
Nayan Chatterjee finished the 100m race in 11.39, while
Vis Haripal was 17th. Haripal also competed in the 200m race and finished in 26.01. In the 800m race,
Sameer Grewal finished in 2:07.99, while
Zachary Kohner had a time of 2:24.42.
Jamie Cartnal finished 10th in the 5,000m race with a time of 15:40.88, while
Brendan Capodanno came in 11th place at 15:44.07.
Adam Gordon placed third in the pole vault competition with a mark of 3.65m, while
Greg Franzetti had a mark of 5.03m in the long jump to take 12th place.
The Hofstra men will be back in action May 10 for the Coastal Athletic Association Outdoor Track & Field Championship hosted by Elon University.
