Pride And Stags Battle On Saturday

| By:
Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra women's lacrosse team will play the first of four straight games in the State of New York beginning on Saturday when the Pride hosts Fairfield.

Opening draw control from James M. Shuart Stadium is scheduled for 12 p.m.

For ticket information visit HofstraTickets.com, call (516) HOF-TIXX, or stop by the Hofstra Athletics Ticket Office in the lobby of the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex during normal business hours.

The game will air on FloLive and WRHU will have an audio-only broadcast available on the HAWC. Links to both, as well as the live statistics, can be found on this page and on the women's lacrosse schedule page at GoHofstra.com.

This game was originally slated to be the Pride's home opener but a facility issue at Long Island caused the Pride's season opener on February 10 to be moved to Shuart Stadium.

Hofstra is 1-1 on the season so far after opening the year with a victory over LIU and dropping a road game at #15 USC this past Saturday. Nikki Mennella led the Pride with two goals at USC, while Lauren Lam had a goal and an assist and Melissa Sconone added a pair of assists in the contest.

Fairfield is 2-1 this season with wins over Connecticut and Albany in its last two games. Elizabeth Talluto had eight points on six goals and two assists in the win over the Great Danes.

Hofstra is 14-5 all-time against Fairfield. The Pride has won three of the last four meetings between the teams.
