Hofstra Returns To Action Saturday With Three Dual Matches

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra wrestling team faces a busy Saturday as it returns to action following a two-week break. The Pride wrestles three times at two different sites,competing in a dual match at Columbia at 11 a.m. before returning to Long Island for an EIWA dual against Morgan State at 4 p.m. and another dual against Nassau Community College at 6 p.m. Both of those matches will take place at Nassau's Main Gym.

The Columbia match will be streamed live on ESPN+, while the Morgan State and Nassau CC matches will also have a video-only stream on Lions All-Access. Links for all can be found above or on the wrestling schedule page on GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra is 2-2 in dual meets this season and 1-0 in the EIWA.The Pride competed last at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational on December 6-7. Columbia enters Saturday with a 1-2 record, while Morgan State is 1-7 overall and 0-3 in the EIWA, while Nassau is 0-1 on the season.

This will be Hofstra's 34th meeting against Columbia. The Pride holds a 17-14-2 advantage in the all-time series with the last meeting a 24-14 win on Feb. 1, 2020. Hofstra is 1-1 all-time against Morgan State, winning last season by a 37-3 score. Hofstra and Nassau CC will be meeting for the first time in a dual match.

Following Saturday's matches, Hofstra will be off until January 9 when it takes on Binghamton in Vestal, New York at 2 p.m.
