Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University defender Pierce Infuso added another accolade to his impressive resume today as he was named a First Team Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators. It is Infuso's first time being recognized as an Academic All-American. He is the third Hofstra men's soccer player to earn first team honors, joining Arni Gunnarsson (2002, 2003) and Hendrik Hebbeker (2021, 2022), and the seventh Academic All-American in program history.

A native of Merrick, New York, Infuso graduated with a degree in finance this past May and is pursuing his MBA while completing his athletic eligibility. He owns a GPA of 3.80. This past season, Infuso tied for the team lead with five assists as he helped the Pride to a fourth consecutive CAA Championship and the No. 7 seed in the NCAA Championship. He was a First Team All-CAA selection as well as a member of the CAA All-Championship team for the second consecutive season.

Infuso has garnered multiple academic and athletic awards over the span of his career including United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America and Scholar All-Region, College Sports Communicators Academic All-District, and United Soccer Coaches All-America and All-Region.
