No. 18 Hofstra Plays At Charleston Saturday In Key CAA Matchup

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University men's soccer team, ranked 18 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll and 24 in the Top Drawer Soccer Poll, play their final road game of the regular season Saturday at College of Charleston with both teams looking to secure CAA Championship berths. Kickoff from Ralph Lundy Field at Patriots Point is set for 12 p.m. The game will stream live on FloCollege with live statistics and an audio-only broadcast available as well.

The Pride (10-3-2, 4-2-0 CAA) enters the game off a 3-1 win at South Florida this past Tuesday behind goals from Teddy Baker, Jack O'Malley, and Sean O'Donnell. Filippo Dadone made four saves as Hofstra extended its unbeaten streak to three games (2-0-1). 

Charleston is 9-4-2 overall and 3-1-2 in the CAA. The Cougars have won two consecutive games and are coming off a 2-0 victory at Campbell last Saturday. 

Hofstra is 5-1-3 all-time against the Cougars. The teams last met in 2022 at Hofstra with the Pride posting a 5-0 victory. Owen Barnett scored his first career goal in that game. 

Following Saturday's game, Hofstra will return home to host Delaware in the regular season finale on Saturday, November 2 at 7 p.m.
