Ryan Carmichael Named National Player of the Week By College Soccer News

Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University men's soccer forward Ryan Carmichael, who was named Coastal Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Week yesterday, has added another award to his collection after earning College Soccer News National Player of the Week.

Carmichael has been on a torrid pace offensively and in two games last week, the senior from Armagh, Northern Ireland tallied three goals and an assist in the Pride's 2-0 week. He started with a goal and an assist in a 3-0 victory against LIU last Tuesday and then closed with a two-goal performance in a 2-1 victory over William & Mary this past Saturday. Carmichael has scored at least a point in seven consecutive games and in eight of the Pride's nine games this season. He leads the team in scoring with seven goals and four assists for 18 points.

No. 19 Hofstra (6-1-2) is in action tonight versus Binghamton. Kickoff from Hofstra Soccer Stadium is at 7:05 p.m.
