Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University men's soccer coaching staff of Head Coach Richard Nuttall, Associate Head Coach Stephen Roche, and assistant coaches Shaun Foster and Dennis Mejia have been named the 2025 Atlantic Region Coaching Staff of the Year by the United Soccer Coaches. This marks the third consecutive season and the fourth time in five seasons that the Hofstra staff has been recognized with the award. 

The Pride earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship this season and advanced to the third round with road wins at Syracuse and top-seeded Vermont. Hofstra tied Furman before the Paladins moved on in penalty kicks. The Pride, which posted a 14-5-1 record, has been ranked in the Atlantic Region Poll in 11 of 12 poll, including at No. 1 in the last four polls of the season. Hofstra was also ranked in the Top 25 on three occasions. 

In addition to each of the last three seasons, Hofstra was also honored following the 2021 campaign. The 2025 season marked the final season at the helm for Coach Nuttall, as he will move into a role in athletic development for the Pride beginning January 1, 2026.
