Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University men's soccer midfielder Laurie Goddard claimed the most prestigious honor of his brilliant career this afternoon when he was named a Second Team All-American by the United Soccer Coaches. Goddard is the ninth United Soccer Coaches All-American in program history, joining Ed Gaffney (1969, Honorable Mention), Michael Todd (2006, Second Team), Shaun Foster (2012, Third Team), Joseph Holland (2015, Second Team), Hendrik Hebbeker (2021, Second Team), Eliot Goldthorp (2023, First Team and 2022, Second Team), Ryan Carmichael (2023, Second Team), and Pierce Infuso (2023, Third Team).

The award adds to Goddard's crowded trophy case this season as he was named the ECAC Offensive Player of the Year, First Team All-ECAC, United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Region First Team, CAA Player and Midfielder of the Year, and First Team All-CAA.

Goddard had a spectacular 2025 season as the senior from London, England, posted career-highs across the board with 15 goals, 7 assists, and 37 points. He led the Pride and the CAA in goals and points, and was second on the team in assists. Goddard, a First Team All-CAA pick, ranks sixth in the nation in goals and points, and his eight game-winning goals lead the nation.

Hofstra posted a 14-5-1 record in 2025, earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship where it advanced to the third round.
