No. 24 Hofstra Looks To Extend Unbeaten Streak Tuesday Versus Binghamton

Hempstead, NY - The 24th-ranked Hofstra University men's soccer team will put its seven-game unbeaten streak on the line Tuesday night when it hosts Binghamton in a non-conference matchup at Hofstra Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:05 p.m. with the game airing on MSG2 as well as being live streamed on FloFC.

Hofstra is currently 6-1-2 on the season and is 5-0-2 in its last seven games and has won two straight going into the meeting with the Bearcats. Ryan Carmichael, the reigning CAA Offensive Player of the Week, leads the team with seven goals and four assists for 18 points. The senior forward has scored at least a point in seven consecutive games. Goalkeeper Wessel Speel, who was named CAA Defensive Player of the Week, owns a 0.78 goals against average and 24 saves.

The Bearcats are 2-5-1 overall and are coming off a 0-0 tie against No. 18 New Hampshire in the America East opener this past Saturday. Jack Green is the leading scorer for Binghamton with two goals and three assists for seven points. Goalkeeper Jack Root made his first start against New Hampshire and stopped four shots on his way to earning America East Defensive Player of the Week accolades. 

Hofstra is 4-1-1 all-time versus Binghamton and won last season on the road, 1-0, behind a Carmichael goal.
