Beatriz Braga had a strong opening week to her Pride career as she helped lead the team to a perfect 3-0 start and she was named the CAA Rookie of the Week for her efforts.
Braga made an immediate impact for the Pride as she played a big role in the team's 3-0 start at the Hofstra Invitational.
In her first collegiate match against Siena she had four service aces, four digs, and a pair of kills. She was just getting started, though, as she tallied 10 kills, eight digs, and two service aces versus NJIT on Saturday afternoon. She would get even better versus Delaware State as she tallied 15 kills, nine digs, and two service aces in the victory over the Hornets.
Braga had totals of 27 kills, 21 digs, eight service aces, and two blocks for the week.
