Hofstra Takes On No. 9 Connecticut Wednesday Evening

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University baseball team starts a four-game non-conference road trip Wednesday evening at No. 9 Connecticut. The Huskies (35-11) and Pride (23-23) will start at 6:05 p.m. from Elliot Ballpark in Storrs, Connecticut. The Pride will continue the trip with a three-game series at Massachusetts-Lowell this Friday through Sunday.

The game will be live streamed on UCONN+ with live statistics also available. Links for both can be found above or on the baseball schedule page on GoHofstra.com.

The Pride is coming off a road sweep of Monmouth where the Pride outscored the Hawks, 35-4, and outhit them, 46-9. John Mikolaicyk will toe the rubber for Hofstra in the game and be opposed by Connecticut's Jack Sullivan. Hofstra does have a win over a ranked team this season as the Pride defeated No. 24 West Virginia on March 21 in Morgantown.

The meeting between the Pride and the Huskies will be the second all-time. The only game between the two schools was a 9-4 Connecticut victory in 2006 at University Field.
