Hofstra Plays At Charleston In Key CAA Series

Hempstead, NY - With just two games separating them in the standings, Hofstra begins a pivotal three-game series at College of Charleston Friday evening at Patriots Point. Hofstra (10-17, 5-7 CAA) currently sits in eighth-place in the CAA, while the Cougars (16-12, 7-5 CAA) are in fourth place. 

The series continues Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at Noon. All three games will be streamed on FloBaseball. All games will also have live statistics available. 

Each team is coming off midweek losses, as Hofstra dropped a 5-0 decision at Rutgers this past Tuesday and Charleston suffered a 10-5 setback to Wofford. In all, the Cougars have lost five consecutive games. 

Pitching matchups for the series are:

Friday: Cade Henry (1-4, 7.18) vs. Ty Good (2-2, 4.71)
Saturday: Tristan Nemjo (1-0, 4.74)vs. Trey Pooser (3-1, 3.86)
Sunday: Brad Camarda (2-1, 6.82) vs. Cole Mathis (2-0, 2.62)

Hofstra is 10-16 all-time versus Charleston. The Pride won two of three games in Hempstead last season. This will be the first trip to Patriots Point since the 2019 campaign. 

Following the trip to Charleston, the Pride will return to action Tuesday at home versus St. John's before hosting Towson next weekend.
