Marcelo Lage Inks Pro Contract With Las Vegas Lights Of USL

Hempstead, NY - Marcelo Lage, a member of the Hofstra men's soccer team this past season, has signed a professional contract with the Las Vegas Lights of the USL Championship, the second division of soccer in the United States behind the MLS.

Lage played for the Pride during the 2022 season as a graduate transfer after spending his first year at George Washington University and the next three at Coastal Carolina University. He played in 21 games with 19 starts this past season and recorded three goals. A key member of the Hofstra defense, Lage helped the Pride to the Colonial Athletic Association Championship and an NCAA Tournament berth.

The Lights are currently 0-0-3 in the USL Championship Western Division. Lage has played in all three games with one start.
