Hofstra Looks To Continue Momentum Tuesday At Rutgers

Hempstead, NY - Coming off a series win over Colonial Athletic Association rival Stony Brook, the Hofstra University baseball team steps out of conference to play at Rutgers Tuesday afternoon. Game time at Bainton Field in Piscataway, New Jersey, is 3 p.m.

The game will be live streamed on the Big10+ network and live statistics will also be available. Links for both can be found above or on the baseball schedule page of GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra (10-16) won two of three games against the Seawolves this past weekend, including a 4-0 victory on Sunday behind a complete game five-hit shutout from Brad Camarda. Dylan Palmer was 3-3 with two RBIs to pace the Hofstra offense.

The Scarlet Knights are 14-13 overall and 1-2 in the Big Ten following an opening weekend series against Michigan State this past Sunday.

This will be the 17th meeting between Rutgers and Hofstra. The Scarlet Knights lead the series 9-7. Rutgers won last year's contest at Bainton Field by a score of 18-1. The Pride won the previous meeting, 6-4, in 2019.

Penn Sealey will make his first start and second appearance of the season for the Pride. Grant Besser (1-3) is also making his first start for Rutgers after 12 relief appearances.

Hofstra will return to CAA action Friday at College of Charleston in the opener of a three-game series.
