Hofstra Hosts UAlbany Thursday To Open Home Schedule

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University baseball team opens their home schedule Thursday at 2 p.m when they welcome the Great Danes of the University at Albany to University Field. The series continues with 1 p.m. games Friday and Sunday. 

All three games will be live streamed on FloBaseball with live statistics available as well. Links can be found above or on the baseball schedule page of GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra is 0-4 on the season following a season-opening trip to Florida Gulf Coast last weekend. Nick Marrero (.571), Jake Liberatore (.375), and Brian Morrell (.308) had a productive weekend at the plate for the Pride. 

UAlbany will be making their season debut this weekend. The Great Danes were picked to finish seventh in the America East and are coming off a 22-25 season in 2022.

Hofstra is 9-8 all-time against UAlbany. The teams last met in 2018 with the Great Danes winning two out of three games at University Field. 

The Pride will return to the road following the series with four games at Nevada next weekend.
