Hempstead, NY - For the first time in program history, the Hofstra University men's soccer team has received a national seed in the NCAA Championship and will have a first round bye. The Pride, who are making their third consecutive NCAA appearance, earned the No. 14 seed and will face the winner of the Bryant/Yale first round matchup Sunday, November 19 at 6 p.m. at Hofstra Soccer Stadium. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Tickets will be available Tuesday, November 14 and will be sold at HofstraTickets.com, by phone at (516) HOF-TIXX, or in person at the Hofstra Athletics Box Office in the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex during regular business hours. Prices are $8 for adults, $6 for students with ID cards, $6 for children 12 and under, and free for children under 2 with a ticketed adult.

Hofstra (13-3-4) won the Coastal Athletic Association championship for the third season in a row and seventh time overall this past Saturday night with a 2-1 overtime victory against Monmouth. Eliot Goldthorp scored the game-winner midway through the first overtime period and the Pride held off the Hawks to earn a spot in the NCAA Championship for the seventh time in program history.

The Pride's previous NCAA Championship appearances came in 1968, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2015, 2021, and 2022. In 2021 Hofstra advanced to the third round and the team has advanced to the second round in 2004, 2006, and 2015.

Hofstra Soccer Stadium has hosted NCAA Championship games in 2005 versus Providence, 2006 versus Providence, 2015 versus Lehigh, and 2021 versus Lipscomb.

If Bryant advances out of the first round, it will be the first meeting between the two schools. The Pride is 2-2-1 all-time against Yale.
