Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University men's soccer team, ranked 16th in the nation by the United Soccer Coaches, will face its first top-25 opponent of the season when it travels to No. 24 Fordham Tuesday night for a 7 p.m. matchup at Moglia Stadium at Jack Coffey Field. The game will air live on MSG Network and will also be live streamed on ESPN+.

Hofstra (9-1-3) is unbeaten in its last 11 games and is coming off a thrilling 1-0 win over Monmouth Saturday night with Eliot Goldthorp netting the game-winner in the 86th minute. Wessel Speel made five saves in recording his seventh shutout of the season.

Fordham (6-2-3) is coming off a tough 1-0 loss at Rhode Island in a game that saw Fordham outshoot Rhode Island, 17-5, with URI's lone shot on goal resulting in a score.

Hofstra holds a 12-5-3 lead in the all-time series and has won three consecutive meetings. The Pride prevailed, 2-1, in last season's opener on a Goldthorp goal with one second remaining in the second half.

The game marks the start of three straight road games for the Pride, who will play at Delaware on Saturday and at New Hampshire on Tuesday before returning home for Senior Day on October 21 versus Drexel.
