Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra university men's soccer team will look to extend its win streak to three when it hosts Colonial Athletic Association rival Northeastern Saturday night (7 p.m.) at Hofstra Soccer Stadium. Hofstra will honor the 2021 CAA Championships team in a pregame ceremony and celebrate alumni day, with the 1997 team being recognized on their 25th-anniversary season. In addition, Hofstra University will sponsor a pregame tailgate for University students and a postgame fireworks show presented by Grucci.

If you cannot make it out to Hofstra Soccer Stadium, the game will be streamed live on FloFC with audio provided by WRHU-FM. Live statistics will also be available. Links for both can be found above or on the men's soccer schedule page on GoHofstra.com.

The Pride enters the game with a 3-2 record overall and a 1-1 mark in CAA action. Hofstra is coming off a 1-0 road win at Monmouth last Saturday night and had defeated LIU in the matchup prior to that. Eliot Goldthorp, the reigning CAA Offensive Player of the Week, has two goals and an assist over his last two games while Ryan Carmichael scored the goal against Monmouth. The pair lead Hofstra in scoring with seven and six points, respectively. Wessel Speel notched his first shutout of the season versus Monmouth and has a 1.40 goals against average on the season.

Northeastern is 2-1-3 on the season and 1-0-1 in league play under first-year head coach Rich Weinrebe. The Huskies are coming off a 3-2 win over Harvard this past Tuesday. Ryan Massoud leads the team with two goals and two assists with Tobias Wangerud contributing two goals and one assist. Colby Hegarty has a 1.67 goals against average on the season. The Huskies lead the all-time series with Hofstra, 15-11-3. Northeastern won last season, 2-1, in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Following the game against Northeastern, the Pride will travel to Binghamton, New York, for a Tuesday night meeting with the Bearcats of Binghamton University. Kick-off is 7 p.m.
