Hempstead, NY – Hofstra senior outfielder Anthony D'Onofrio has been named to the Academic All-District® Baseball Team, selected by CoSIDA. The Academic All-District® Baseball Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in June.

D'Onofrio (Wantagh, NY) is a management major with a 3.57 grade point average. He has been a member of the Hofstra Dean's List, as well as being selected to the Hofstra Athletic Director Scholars Academic Honor Roll and the Colonial Athletic Association Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.

On the field, D'Onofrio has helped the Pride to a 23-21 record. Serving as Hofstra's leadoff hitter, he has compiled a .272 average, 11 doubles, 1 triple, 2 home runs, 21 RBIs, 23 runs scored, and 8 stolen bases in 40 games played.

D'Onofrio and Hofstra wrap up the regular season this weekend against James Madison. Hofstra has already qualified for the Colonial Athletic Association Championship, to be held May 25-28 in Elon, North Carolina.
