Hempstead, NY - Hofstra baseball senior outfielder Anthony D'Onofrio has been voted the GoHofstra.com Student-Athlete of the Week in a fan poll conducted on the Hofstra Pride Twitter page. D'Onofrio won a closely contested race with 35.3 percent of the vote. 

The Wantagh, New York, native batted .500 (8-16) in four games for the Pride last week. He had two doubles, six runs scored, and six RBIs. D'Onofrio went 4-5 at St. John's and then had four hits and drove in five runs in Hofstra's Colonial Athletic Association series win at Elon. He extended his hitting streak to seven games and now ranks second on the team with a .317 batting average. 

D'Onofrio is back in action today as the Pride travel to LIU for a 3 p.m. game.
