Hempstead, NY - Following a doubleheader at home, the Hofstra wrestling team is hitting the road to Pennsylvania for the final home match of the 2021-22 regular season against EIWA foe Franklin & Marshall.

Hofstra hosted Harvard and Sacred Heart from inside the David S. Mack Physical Education Center this past Saturday, and split the doubleheader with a 24-19 defeat to Harvard and a 37-15 win over Sacred Heart to move to 3-11 overall and 2-5 against EIWA competition.
Charles Small won all three matches he competed in on Saturday at 184, while
Ricky Stamm (165),
Trey Rogers (197) and
Zachary Knighton-Ward (285) all went 2-0 on the day.

Small was ranked #18 in the NCAA RPI ranking, #31 by the NCAA Coaches' Panel, #32 by WrestleStat, and #33 by InterMat. Rogers was ranked #26 in the NCAA RPI ranking and #32 by WrestleStat. Knighton-Ward is ranked #17 in the NCAA RPI ranking, #18 by InterMat, #19 in the NCAA Coaches' Panel and The Open Mat, #26 by WrestleStat, and honorable mention by FloWrestling.
Franklin & Marshall comes into Sunday at 8-1 overall and 2-0 in the EIWA following a 29-10 dual meet win over Millersville, running its winning-streak to four. Wil Gil leads the Diplomats at 21-5 at 141, followed by James Conway at 18-9 at 184 and Noah Fox at 17-8 at 174. Pat Phillips holds a 14-9 record at 133, and Cristiaan Dailey and Cenzo Pelusi each have 12 wins at 149 and 285, respectively.
Hofstra holds a 9-5 all-time record against Franklin & Marshall, and the Pride have won the five duals over the Diplomats. The teams last squared off on February 1, 2020 inside the David S. Mack Physical Education Center, and Hofstra came away with a dominant 45-3 win.
