Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Shannon Smith announced her team's 2022 schedule today. 

The 16-game slate will feature eight home games and eight road games for Hofstra, which is coming off its third-ever NCAA Tournament appearance and first since the 2007 season. 

The season gets underway officially on February 12 when Hofstra faces local rival Long Island for the first time in program history. It will be the first of three straight road games to begin the year for the Pride as Hofstra will also visit Army West Point (February 19) and Brown (February 22). 

Hofstra will open the home portion of its schedule with a three-game homestand beginning on February 26 against Fairfield. The Pride will also host Albany (March 5) and Wagner (March 8). 

The rest of the non-conference portion of the schedule features Marist (March 12), Stony Brook (March 18), Vanderbilt (March 20), and Connecticut (March 26). 

Colonial Athletic Association play gets underway for Hofstra on April 2 with a home game against James Madison. The Pride will also host Towson (April 16) and Elon (April 30) in league play, while traveling to Delaware (April 6), Drexel (April 13), and William & Mary (April 23).
