Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University men's soccer team will head east Monday for a battle against Stony Brook University in the annual Long island Rivalry matchup. Kick-off from LaValle Stadium on the campus of Stony Brook is set for 6 p.m.
The game will be streamed via ESPN+ and live statistics will be available as well. Links for both can be found above or on the men's soccer schedule page on GoHofstra.com.
Hofstra (1-0) is coming off a season-opening 2-0 victory at Rhode Island this past Thursday night.
Matthew Vowinkel and
Jason Ramirez had first half goals and the Pride defense kept the Rams off the board with
Wessel Speel making three saves in goal.
The Seawolves are also 1-0 on the season after a 1-0 victory over LIU on Thursday. Jonas Bickus scored the only goal of the game in his collegiate debut to give Stony Brook the win.
Hofstra is 17-11-6 all-time versus Stony Brook. The Pride won the last meeting, 4-1, on February 28 at Hofstra.

Joe Wright, and
Luca Tausch each scored goals for the Pride and Speel made two saves.
Following the Stony Brook game, the Pride will continue a four-game road trip to open the season, at LIU on Sept. 8. Game time is 4 p.m.
