Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's lacrosse team will look to make it three straight wins on the season as they are set to welcome Wagner to James M. Shuart Stadium on Tuesday, March 2, at 2 p.m.

Ryan Tierney stands on the edge of breaking Hofstra men's lacrosse and Colonial Athletic Association history. He comes into Tuesday's game at 138 goals, two shy of tying and three away from breaking the program record of 140 goals in a career set by Tom Kessler (1999-2001). Additionally, Tierney is two points shy of tying and three shy of breaking the CAA record of 210 points in a career set by Delaware's Curtis Dickson (2007-10). Tierney moved closer to the records after finishing with 11 points on eight goals and three assists against #17 Stony Brook.

The Pride improved to 2-1 on the year following Saturday's home win over the Seawolves, with graduate student

Mac Gates continues to impress between the pipes for Hofstra, picking up his second career win while making a career-best 16 stops against Stony Brook.
Wagner started its season with a 19-8 loss to Long Island on Saturday. The Seahawks were led by Philip Buque, who scored three goals against the Sharks, and Nic Ancona with two goals and an assist.
Tuesday's game will mark just the second-ever meeting between the two programs in men's lacrosse. Hofstra posted a 21-11 win over the Seahawks in the 2020 season-opener.
