Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University men's soccer team, owners of a 10-1-1 record and an eight-game undefeated streak (7-0-1) are well represented in the latest national rankings.
The Pride is now the top team receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Poll. Hofstra jumped from 25 points last week to 55 this week. In the Top Drawer Soccer Top 25 Poll, the Pride come in at No. 22 and moved up a spot from last week. In the College Soccer News Top 30 Poll, Hofstra is the top team in the receiving votes category.
In addition, the NCAA released their first RPI report of the 2021 season and Hofstra is No. 11. The Pride is the top-rated Colonial Athletic Association team in the RPI.
Lastly, Hofstra moved up a spot in the United Soccer Coaches Atlantic Region Poll and is No. 2 this week. The CAA has five teams ranked in the regional poll with James Madison at No. 1, Hofstra at No. 2, UNCW at No. 4, Northeastern at No. 5, and Elon at No. 10.
Hofstra returns to action this Saturday (Oct. 16) when it host NJIT at 5 p.m. at Hofstra Soccer Stadium.Â
