Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University men's soccer team hosts Elon University in a Colonial Athletic Association contest Saturday night at 7 p.m. The Pride will be looking to move to 2-1 in CAA play against the Phoenix.
 Â
Hofstra is currently 3-3 on the year overall and 1-1 in league action. The Phoenix enters the game with a record of 2-3-1 overall and 0-1 in CAA play. Hofstra has dominated the brief series with Elon, with a 4-0-1 mark against the Phoenix. Â
The Pride is coming off a disappointing 2-1 home loss to Long Island rival Stony Brook this past Wednesday. The Seawolves came out strong, scoring twice in the opening 15 minutes. The Pride cut the deficit in half a few minutes later, on George O'Malley's goal, but couldn't get the equalizer. Â
Elon enters the night off a 1-0 win over Appalachian State last Tuesday that snapped a three-game losing skid. Tuki Tayali scored his first goal of the season in the first half and the Elon defense stifled the Mountaineers the rest of the way. Â
Saturday's game will be live streamed through Pride Productions with audio courtesy of WRHU-FM (88.7). Live stats will also be available. Links for both can be found above or on the schedule page of GoHofstra.com. Â
Following the Elon game, the Pride will hit the road for a non-conference game at Marist on September 25.  Â
