Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University Baseball team will play four games this week beginning with a Wednesday afternoon contest at Army West Point. The Pride will then take on St. John's in a three-game series in Queens. Wednesday's game at Doubleday Field begins at 3 p.m. The opening game of the St. John's series, on Friday, starts at 3 p.m. as well. The teams will then play Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m.

Hofstra is 3-11 on the season and is coming off a 1-2 weekend at Liberty. The Pride played a solid final two games of the series, dropping a tough 1-0 game before winning the finale, 10-5.

Rob Weissheier leads the Pride with a .304 average and 10 RBIs. He also as one double, two triples, and one home run. Vito Friscia is batting .250 with two home runs, seven RBIs, and 11 runs scored. Andrew Mundy has made five appearances out of the bullpen and is 0-1 with two saves and a 1.88 ERA. Ryan Rue is 1-1 with a 2.28 ERA in four starts.

Army West Point is currently 9-8 on the year with a game against Stony Brook prior to hosting the Pride. The Red Storm (7-9) play Marist before welcoming the Pride to Jack Kaiser Stadium.

Hofstra is 6-8 all-time versus Army West Point. The teams last met March 9, 2016 with the Pride taking a 14-8 win at Doubleday Field. Hofstra is 14-46 versus St. John's. The Pride dropped a 12-4 road decision to the then No. 23 Red Storm last season (April 18).

Mike Murray (0-2, 6.23 ERA) is slated to start the game at Army West Point. Hofstra's weekend rotation has yet to be determined.
